HELP CENTER
DO YOU PROVIDE IN-PERSON OR ONLINE THERAPY?
I provide both in-person and online therapy; It’s simply a preference of whether you want the ability to meet in person, or whether you prefer the convenience of online therapy. My office is located in Coral Gables. For online appointments, I use a HIPPA-Compliant platform called Doxy.me to meet with clients virtually. It’s easy to use and does not require you to login or download anything. You just open up the provided link in your web browser and you’ll be in the waiting room.
HOW DO I PAY? DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE RATES?
Payments can be made in Cash, Venmo, Zelle or Credit Card. I do have available slots for individuals to offer sliding scale payment so that they are comfortable with the fees and able to receive quality therapy.
HOW LONG IS A SESSION AND HOW OFTEN WILL I SEE YOU?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes long and are often scheduled weekly, especially in the beginning. Most people have been struggling to deal with difficult situations by the time they come to therapy. Weekly sessions will help to keep you accountable and motivated to work towards your goals in an efficient way. As therapy progresses, we can work together to determine if weekly sessions will continue to be useful. Some people will find that as they begin to heal and grow, fewer sessions are needed. The frequency of sessions can be adjusted in order to best meet your needs and maintain positive change.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE FIRST SESSION?
Your first session will be different than your future visits. The first session is a period to get to know each other and get an idea of how to proceed. I will learn what brings you to therapy and how to best help you. I will ask more questions than future appointments in order to gather information about your past and what brings you in. We will discuss your goals and expectations for therapy. I encourage you to ask any questions you may have.
DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?
I am an out-of-network provider. You are responsible for paying my fee and I will provide you with a Superbill (a receipt for services) for you to submit to your insurance provider. Please check with your insurance provider for the details of your coverage. By remaining out of network, I am better able to protect your confidentiality, since I have no direct relationship with the insurance company.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
Please cancel 24 hours before your appointment. Otherwise, you will be charged the full cost for the session. The reason for this policy is that, if you provide less than 24 hours’ notice, I cannot offer that timeslot to someone else.
